1983 Ford Escort 1.3 L (13172969785)

Delighted to see this really lovely mint example coming down the road. I was actually walking the same direction- it was lucky I looked behind me and had my camera to hand! This is actually the first Mk3 Escort hatchback I've seen in a few years, but I've seen three estates! Once seen on every street, these have really thinned out. In 1994, there were almost half a million L spec Escorts on the roads- the number has dwindled to 1,224 (but that includes all years) This is one of 24 on the roads from 1983. This example looked really very original and tidy. Nice to see a younger driver too.
