As per KBs logo, Carlsberg betaler, Nyt design trækker Carlsberg-logo tilbage til originalen and 'En del af det største' by Lars Berendt (2017; ISBN: 9788711565896), chapter 13 (Drømmeduo), it is presumed that the original logo of the Danish Football Association (DBU) was designed and created by Thorvald Bindesbøll around 1900. The logo has had several aesthetic improvements throughout the years with latest adjustments being implemented in 1999 by the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi as part of DBU's new design guidelines and visual identity implementation throughout the central part of the national organization.
As per 'Dansk Boldspil-Union Designmanual 2.0' (2013), section under "DBUs logo - jura", Kommercielle retningslinjer and rettigheder.dk Resultater, the logo of DBU is trademarked (EU varemærke), and hence protected under the Danish Trademark Act.
