Südwestansicht des Domes Mariä Himmelfahrt in der niederösterreichischen Bezirkshauptstadt Wiener Neustadt.
Das Langhaus mit dem Westturmpaar wurde von 1193 bis 1279 im spätromanischen-frühgotischen Stil errichtet. Im ersten Viertel des 14. Jahrhunderts wurde das Querschiff und der polygonale Chor mit den Seitenchören sowie eine zweigeschossige Sakristei im Norden errichtet. Unter Kaiser Friedrich III. erfolgten im 15. Jahrhundert Umbauten und eine Neuausstattung. Unter Bischof Ferdinand Graf von Hallweil wurde 1755 der Dom barockisiert. Nach einem Brand 1834 in der Glockenstube wurden die baufälligen Türme 1886 abgetragen und nach den alten Plänen unter der Leitung des Wiener Architekten Richard Jordan von 1892 bis 1899 wieder aufgebaut.
