Vessel traffic service
Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) er den engelske betegnelse for et overvågningssystem for søfart etableret af havne- eller havnemyndigheder, svarende til Flyvekontroltjeneste for fly. Typiske VTS-centre bruger radar, overvågningskamera, VHF - radiotelefoni og Automatic Identification System til at holde styr på færden af skibe og give navigationssikkerhed i et begrænset geografisk område.

St Helier Vessel Traffic Service (VTS). VTS, formerly known as St Helier Port Control, is situated at the pier heads of St Helier harbour and is responsible for the safe movement of all leisure and commercial shipping within its controlled waters.

The RTS of Antirrio includes a building with the necessary electronics/communication equipment and a sensors/radar mast of 20m height. On top of the mast, there is a remotely controlled CCTV camera, VHF antennas and the antenna of the coastal surveillance and navigation radar GEM RT02-25D
