VM i ishockey 1955

VM i ishockey 1955 var det 22. VM i ishockey, arrangeret af IIHF, og for de europæiske hold gjaldt mesterskabet endvidere som det 33. EM i ishockey. Mesterskabet blev spillet i perioden 25. februar – 6. marts 1955 i byerne Köln, Dortmund, Düsseldorf og Krefeld i Vesttyskland.

VM var opdelt i to niveauer. De ni bedste hold spillede A-VM om verdensmesterskabet, mens de resterende fem hold spillede B-VM, der blev kaldt "junior-turneringen", sammen med et vesttysk B-hold, der egentlig deltog uden for konkurrence.

Sovjetunionen havde overraskende vundet VM i 1954, hvor de blandt andet slog Canada 7-2. Men denne gang fik Canada taget revanche og vandt mesterskabet tilbage. I de to landes indbyrdes kamp, mesterskabets sidste, vandt Canada 5-0. Det var canadiernes 16. VM-titel, mens det sovjetiske hold måtte nøjes med VM-sølv, og dermed europamesterskabet som bedste nation fra Europa.
