USA's vicepræsident er det næsthøjeste embede i USA efter præsidentembedet. Vicepræsidenten bliver valgt sammen med præsidenten og tager stillingen hvis præsidenten skulle dø, gå af eller blive afsat indenfor præsidentperioden. Vicepræsidenten er præsident og ordstyrer i USA's senat og har stemmeret ved stemmelighed, således at vedkommendes stemme i sådanne tilfælde bliver udslagsgivende. Embedet er således det eneste som har funktioner i både den udøvende gren og den lovgivende gren af statsmagten (som et brud på magtfordelingsprincippet).
Det er de samme formelle krav til vicepræsidenten som til præsidenten: For at kunne blive valgt, skal man være født som amerikansk statsborger, være minimum 35 år gammel og have boet i USA i de seneste 14 år. Man kan heller ikke have været præsident i to mandatperioder tidligere.

Seal of the Vice President of the United States. The blazon is defined in Executive Order 11884 as:
The design is the same as the Seal of the President of the United States, except that there is no ring of stars, the clouds are gray (instead of proper), the stars are gray (instead of argent), the scroll is gray (instead of white), the arrows are gray (instead of proper), and the background colors and inscription (obviously) differ.The Coat of Arms of the Vice President of the United States shall be of the following design:
SHIELD: Paleways of thirteen pieces argent and gules, a chief azure; upon the breast of an American eagle displayed holding in his dexter talon an olive branch proper and in his sinister a bundle of thirteen arrows gray, and in his beak a gray scroll inscribed "E PLURIBUS UNUM" sable.
CREST: Behind and above the eagle a radiating glory or, on which appears an arc of thirteen cloud puffs gray, and a constellation of thirteen mullets gray.
The Seal of the Vice President of the United States shall consist of the Coat of Arms encircled by the words "Vice President of the United States."

The Flag of the United States Navy, as defined in Executive Order 10812 of April 24, 1959. The design is described there as:
The flag for the United States Navy is 4 feet 4 inches hoist by 5 feet 6 inches fly, of dark blue material, with yellow fringe, 2½ inches wide. In the center of the flag is a device 3 feet and 1 inch overall consisting of the inner pictorial portion of the seal of the Department of the Navy (with the exception that a continuation of the sea has been substituted for the land area), in its proper colors within a circular yellow rope edging, all 2 feet 6 inches in diameter above a yellow scroll inscribed "UNITED STATES NAVY" in dark blue letters.
The U.S. Navy flag is used for display purposes at ceremonies, parades, and other public functions where the U.S. Navy has an official presence, usually being carried by an honor guard on ceremonial occasions. It is not used for outdoor, fixed (permanent) purposes, and is not flown on Navy ships. Versions without fringe and different dimensions seem to be common, though it appears they are not technically the official U.S. Navy flag, as the executive order has not been amended.
Prior to 1959, the Navy Infantry Battalion flag was used to represent the U.S. Navy.
