Tour de France 2004 var den 91. udgave af cykelløbet Tour de France i løbets 101-årige historie med start lørdag den 3. juli i Liège og afslutning søndag den 25. juli på Champs-Élysées i Paris.
Lance Armstrong blev samlet vinder for sjette gang i træk og blev dermed den første rytter med mere end fem sejre i verdens hårdeste cykelløb. Alle hans sejre blev dog senere frataget ham. Nummer to blev Andreas Klöden fra Tyskland og Ivan Basso fra Italien blev nummer tre.
Richard Virenque blev samlet vinder af bjergtrøjen for syvende gang, hvilket ingen anden rytter har præsteret. Pointtrøjen vandt Robbie McEwen fra Australien. Den hvide trøje tildeles bedste ungdomsrytter og blev vundet af Vladimir Karpets.

Thomas Voeckler erobrede den gule føretrøje fra Lance Armstrong efter et langt udbrud på 5. etape. Han kæmpede hårdt i bjergene for at tabe så lidt tid som muligt, og det lykkedes ham at holde trøjen i ti dage, indtil 15. etape. På denne etape, som var den første i Alperne, måtte han levere trøjen tilbage til den Lance Armstrong, som dermed vandt fik den på for 6. gang.
