PlayStation 2 (PS2) er Sonys efterfølger til spillekonsollen PlayStation og forgænger til PlayStation 3. Den første udgave blev udgivet i Japan den 4. marts 2000, i Nordamerika den 26. oktober 2000 og i Europa den 25. november 2000. Playstation 2 er den mest solgte spillekonsol nogensinde. I 2012 stoppede Sony med at producere og sælge Playstation 2'er. Til dato er der blevet solgt cirka 150 millioner enheder[1]
DualShock2
DualShock2 er efterfølgeren til DualShock, som man havde ved PlayStation-konsollen. Den findes også i en trådløs udgave.
Memory Card
PS2 kræver et Memory Card for at gemme data, mens efterfølgeren, PlayStation 3, har en indbygget harddisk til datalagring.
Spil
Ved slutningen af marts 2005 var der 5.277 PS2-titler udgivet verden over.
Versioner
PlayStation 2 er udgivet i mange forskellige modeller. Den største ændring var da konsollen blev udgivet i et nyt og mindre kabinet, med et nyt navn, PSTwo. Sony har oplyst, at den nye og mindre konsol kan have problemer med at afvikle visse spiltitler.

Flag of Canada introduced in 1965, using Pantone colors. This design replaced the Canadian Red Ensign design.
The Flag of Europe is the flag and emblem of the European Union (EU) and Council of Europe (CoE). It consists of a circle of 12 golden (yellow) stars on a blue background. It was created in 1955 by the CoE and adopted by the EU, then the European Communities, in the 1980s.
The CoE and EU are distinct in membership and nature. The CoE is a 47-member international organisation dealing with human rights and rule of law, while the EU is a quasi-federal union of 27 states focused on economic integration and political cooperation. Today, the flag is mostly associated with the latter.
It was the intention of the CoE that the flag should come to represent Europe as a whole, and since its adoption the membership of the CoE covers nearly the entire continent. This is why the EU adopted the same flag. The flag has been used to represent Europe in sporting events and as a pro-democracy banner outside the Union.
