Madrid Open er en tennisturnering, der for tiden sponsoreres af forsikringsselskabet Mutua, hvorfor turneringen også er kendt under navnet Mutua Madrid Open. Turneringen er spillet årligt siden 2002 i Madrid, Spanien, og indgår i ATP World Tour og WTA Tour. Turneringen foregår i starten af maj og har status på niveauet umiddelbart under Grand Slam. Oprindeligt blev Madrid Open spillet indendørs på hardcourt, men siden 2009 har det været en udendørs grusturnering, der i 2012 forsøgte sig med blåt grus, men efter klager fra flere topspillere gik man, året efter, tilbage til det klassiske røde grus.[1]
Siden 2009 har turneringen også været en del af kvindernes WTA Tour, som en Premier Mandatory-turnering, og siden 2021 i kategorien WTA 1000.
Madrid Open blev indtil 2021 ejet af Super Slam Ltd, et firma under den tidligere topspiller Ion Tiriacs kontrol, men i slutningen af 2021 blev turneringen solgt til IMG, og handlen gik endeligt igennem i slutningen af marts 2022.[2] Efter at turneringens arrangører havde offentliggjort de spillere, der modtog wildcards til hovedturneringerne i single, rettede flere spanske spillere kritik af turneringens nye ejer for at kun ét af de ni wildcards gik til en spansk spiller. IMG havde primært valgt at tilgodese spillere, der var i stald hos netop IMG, hvilket var et brud på den tidligere ejers praksis, hvor primært spanske spillere var blevet tilgodeset.[3]

Chinese Taipei Olympic Flag. According to the official website of Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee, Blue Sky(circle) & White Sun(triangles) above the Olympic rings is neither the National Emblem of the Republic of China, nor the Party Emblem of Kuomintang (KMT), but a design in between, where the triangles do not extend to the edge of the blue circle, as registered at International Olympic Committee in 1981 and digitally rendered in 2013. Besides, the blue outline of the five-petaled plum blossom is broader than the red one. Moreover, the CMYK code of the blue one and the Blue Sky & White Sun is "C100-M100-Y0-K0", and different from the Olympic rings (C100-M25-Y0-K0). Note that it's the only version recognized by IOC.
