Jonas Poher Rasmussen (født 19. maj 1981) er en dansk filminstruktør, der især er kendt for den animerede dokumentarfilm Flugt (2021), som var Danmarks Oscar-kandidat til Oscaruddelingen 2022.
Baggrund og karriere
Jonas Poher Rasmussen blev uddannet fra Super16 i 2010. Hans farfar er den afdøde forfatter Halfdan Rasmussen, som han også portrætterede i sin debutfilm, Noget om Halfdan, som er en dokumentar fra 2006.[1]
Filmværk
Jonas Poher Rasmussen er primært kendt for dokumentarfilm, herunder hybridfilmen Searching For Bill (2013), Det han gjorde (2015) og Flugt (2021), men han har også instrueret enkelte fiktionsfilm bl.a. fra sin tid på Super16.
Hæder
Flugt skrev Oscar-historie, da den som den første film nogensinde blev nomineret til både Bedste animationsfilm, Bedste dokumentar og Bedste ikke-engelsk sprogede film[2]. Udover Oscar-uddelingen opnåede filmen også stor hæder på internationale filmfestivaler som Cannes, Annecy, Telluride, Toronto og New York samt løb med to priser til European Film Awards (Bedste animation og Bedste dokumentar) og vandt Nordisk Råds Filmpris i 2021[3][1]

On 9 June 2022, President Roberta Metsola awarded the 2022 LUX European Audience Film Award to “Quo vadis, Aida?” by Bosnian director Jasmila Žbanić, who was accompanied by Munira Subašić, a survivor of the Srebrenica genocide and president of the Mothers of Srebrenica Association.
In the picture, the director of the shortlisted movie Flee, Jonas Poher Rasmussen, receives a recognition.
The winning film was chosen by combining a public vote and a vote by MEPs, with each weighed at 50%. The audience vote was open until 25 May, and MEPs could vote until 7 June.
Since 2020, the LUX European Audience Film Award has been awarded by the European Parliament and the European Film Academy.
Through its film prize, Parliament has been supporting the distribution of European films since 2007, by providing subtitles in 24 EU languages for the films in final contention.
The European Commission and Europa Cinemas network are also partners in the LUX Award.
