En hardwareport eller kommunikationsport er en fysisk port på en computer, hvor man tilkobler andre enheder. De er: USB, ethernet-kabel, VGA-kablel tastatur, printer, mus, skanner og andet.

En pc har normalt serielle og parallelle kommunikationsporte. De serielle porte kaldes i nogle styresystemer (Microsoft Windows m.fl.) com1:, com2: osv. afhængig af antallet, mens de parallelle kaldes lpt1: osv. "Lpt" er forkortelse for "Line PrinTer".

Nyere pc'er har også firewire- og USB-porte.

The Atari 800, an 8-bit computer released by Atari in 1979. Based off the MOS 6502 microprocessor and custom video and sound processors, the Atari 800 was the first in a line of popular home computers. Later models include the 600XL, 800XL 65XE and 130XE, which featured various amounts of memory and expansion capability.
