Diseño castillo y león derivado de los modelos de maravedíes [1]. El adorno sobre el leon se llama damasquinado, sin valor emblemático, pero con cierta difusión en los siglos XVI y XVII.

Flag with the cross of Burgundy (saltire). Also named Cross of Burgundy flag. It was used in the Catholic Monarchy and in its viceroyalties such as New Spain and Peru. It was also used by Spain as a military or king's prosonal flag. Used by the Carlist movement.

Ensign of Spanish Navy established by Philip V in 1701 and was in use until 1760. Also was the battle flag of the Cadiz Squadron between 1732 and 1760.
