Herrernes mountainbike konkurrence under sommer-OL 2016 fandt sted 21. august 2016 og blev afviklet ved Mountain Bike Centre i Deodoro Olympic Park.
Format
Der var 49 ryttere kvalificeret til konkurrencen, der blev afviklet som en samlet start på en rundstrækning. Antallet af omgange på rundstrækningen var bestemt af at løbet skulle have en længde mellem 1 time og 30 minutter og 1 time og 45 minutter.

Flag of Portugal, created by Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro (1857–1929), officially adopted by Portuguese government in June 30th 1911 (in use since about November 1910). Color shades matching the RGB values officially reccomended here.
