Chancellor of the Exchequer er den titel, som bæres af en den britiske finansminister i kabinettet med ansvar for regeringens økonomiske og finansielle politik og styring. På engelsk kaldes finansministeren normalt the chancellor (kansleren). The chancellor er den øverst ansvarlige minister i det ministerielle departement His Majesty’s Treasury, der svarer til det danske finansministerium. Posten er et af de fire højeste statsembeder og er i nyere tid det næsthøjeste embede i Storbritannien, kun overgået af premierministeren og justitsministeren: lord kansleren (The Lord High Chancellor of Great Britain).
Foruden titlen chancellor er vedkommende også Second Lord of the Treasury (Anden skatkammerherre). Premierministeren har titlen som First Lord of the Treasury (Første skatkammerherre).
