Ali Abbasi (persisk: علی عباسی, født i 1981 i Teheran)[1] er en iransk-dansk filminstruktør og manuskriptforfatter. Han flyttede i 2002 til Stockholm i Sverige, hvor han i 2007 færdiggjorde en bachelor i arkitektur. I 2007 flyttede han til København, hvor han blev uddannet fra instruktørlinjen på Den Danske Filmskole. Abbasi er bosat i København og har såvel dansk som iransk statsborgerskab.[2]
Han har lavet fire spillefilm; gyseren Shelley, den svensk-danske Grænse, der vandt hovedprisen i Un Certain Regard på Cannes Festival, thrilleren Holy Spider (2022) og The Apprentice (2024), der handler om Donald Trump som ung mand.
Abbasi har modtaget en række filmpriser, heriblandt Carl Th. Dreyer Prisen i 2023.[3]

Flag of Iran. The tricolor flag was introduced in 1906, but after the Islamic Revolution of 1979 the Arabic words 'Allahu akbar' ('God is great'), written in the Kufic script of the Qur'an and repeated 22 times, were added to the red and green strips where they border the white central strip and in the middle is the emblem of Iran (which is a stylized Persian alphabet of the Arabic word Allah ("God")).
The official ISIRI standard (translation at FotW) gives two slightly different methods of construction for the flag: a compass-and-straightedge construction used for File:Flag of Iran (official).svg, and a "simplified" construction sheet with rational numbers used for this file.
