Inscription in Latin: Vera Effigies Georgii Wolweber Consulis olim Lubecensis / Seditiosi et Coniuratorum antesignani, Qui tandem in Duca/tu Brunswicensi Wolffenbuttel Debitas luit Poenas, in – / Quatuor Dissectus Partes. Et cum ad Supplicium Duceretur, / ad vivum Expressus. Anno Domini 1537 die lunae ante Michaelis.

English translation:

True image of Georg Wolweber, former mayor of Lübeck, seditionist and champion of conspirators, who finally suffered the deserved punishment, being quartered in the duchy of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel. And as he was led to his execution, portrayed from the life in the year of the Lord 1537, on monday before Michaelmas.
