Memorial marking the site of entrance to the Volksgerichtshof (Peoples Court of Justice). The site itself is now occupied by the Sony Center.
Translation: This marks the entrance to the Volksgerichtshof (1935-1945). With a total disregard to the fundamental principles of justice the court sentenced more than five thousand people to death and an even greater number to loss of freedom. Its purpose was to pursue and destroy all opponents of the National Socialist Regime.
