What you see is not a complete VHF-tuner. The image shows some parts of a VHF band III FM-superheterodyne: FM-filter, VHF-amplifier, electronic mixer and its oscillator. The antenna is connected to the left of the electron tube (ECC85 dual-triode). At the topmost right is the channel dial, that is connected to two mechanically variable VHF-inductors (helically wound copper bands). Power supply and MF-output are connected at the buttom.
