Trøllhøvdi means Troll's Head. It is an islet in the Faroe Islands, located north of Sandoy, near the village Skopun. The islet is 19 acres (ha), the highest point is 160 metres, the lenght is 850 m and it is 320 m wide on the widest place. For many generations it has belonged to the villagers of Kirkjubøur, which is a village on the south-east Streymoy. Kirkjubøur is now a part of Tórshavn Municipality. This photo was taken from the ferry Smyril on route between Suðuroy and Tórshavn on 2 May 2010.
