Signature of American writer Sylvia Plath as it appeared in the August 1953 issue of Mademoiselle magazine. In her novel The Bell Jar, Plath gave a semi-autobiographical account of her time as an editor at the magazine—including, famously, the moment her photo was taken to be printed alongside her signature.
