Faroese students wearing the national Faroese costume are gathered in Memorial Park in Vágur, Faroe Islands. Annika Olsen, who at that time was minister for Internal Affairs of the Faroe Islands, gave a speech. Behind them is the Memorial Lost at Sea, which was made in order to honour the people from the village who lost their lives at sea. Most of the men have been working at sea as fishermen, and the North Atlantic Ocean is often quite rough, so some of these men have lost their lives at sea.
