One of the few remaining parts of the large model Bernina railway in Pontresina, that was open to the public 1960 - 1973. Photographed at Hünegg Castle on Lake Thun in Switzerland in summer 2012, during a special exhibition about mountain railways. The red electric railcar ABe 4/4 43 of the Rhaetian Railway is to the scale S, at 1:60. It runs on metal tracks from Märklin H0 with a track gauge of 16.5 mm. A standard green Märklin coach with closed platforms, minimally altered to look like a passenger car of the Bernina railway, runs behind the railcar, modelling technology being rather typical for that time period.
