Sequoyah-mound-vonore-tn1
Burial mound at the Sequoyah Museum in Vonore, Tennessee, in the southeastern United States. The mound contains 191 burials that were excavated in the Tellico Archaeological Project, 1969-1979. The burials were reinterred here in the Spring of 1986. The right half of the center plaque displays Timberlake's "Draught of the Cherokee Country"; the left half reads:

VALLEY PRIOR TO THE INUNDATION
