Photographs taken during day 2 of the Royal Australian Navy International Fleet Review 2013. An ABC newsremote broadcast W:production truck at North Head. The small microwave dish on the retractable telescoping mast is used to transmit live video back to the local studio. The microwave beam must have a line-of-sight path to the studio's antenna, so the tall mast is used to raise the dish above obstructions like buildings. The larger microwave dish below on the roof of the van is used to transmit to a communications satellite for wider distribution.
