Cockpit of an LS-4 sailplane. On the left the airspeed indicator, speed just now a little below 80 km/h. On the bottom the altimeter, altitude currently around 780 metres. On the right the mechanical variometer, rate-of-climb ca. 0.3 m/s. On the center the VW921 final glide computer, which also controls the electric variometer on the top right. On the top left the yaw indicator. However, the string taped on the canopy indicates the yaw more accurately. On top of the instruments the compass. The yellow handle is to release the tow rope. The red handle is for emergency canopy release.
