Envelope of the "Cold War" period done by the post, dated from 1979. The former USSR and the other countries in the east most likely found fault with official stamps of Germany with a building of the Polish city Szczecin (became Polish after the 2nd WW) and the German titel STETTIN / POMMERN like it was before and during the 2nd WW). So the letter has not been delivered but sended back to the sender marked with "RETOUR".
The additional note stuck on the envelope with explanation of the return was made by the "Deutsche Bundespost"
