Esker are usually convenient in the basic-morainic-landscape sedimentations of bolders- and sand-material in glacier columns or tunnels. The Esker illustrated here runs in north-north-east - south-south-west direction of Gatschow in the north to Varchentin in the north-west of the district Mecklenburgische Seenplatte and is the longest, more or less coherent Esker in Northeast-Germany.
