Not my best shot, but a relevant one today, at the start of the 2022 Beijing winter Olympics.
The Olympic Park was built for the 2008 summer Olympics, and we happened to be there on the night Beijing was chosen to host the 2022 winter Olympics. Despite the continuous drizzle, lots of Chinese people had gathered and were very cheerful. This was the only time in China that people wanted selfies of them with "European giants" in the picture. Too bad the language barrier was enormous.
Beijing National Stadium (background) was used as a giant projection screen.
Amazing night.
