Oblique aerial view of the braided Murchison River, in New Zealand's Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, from the proglacial lake and terminal moraine of the Murchison Glacier (top left) to the lateral moraine of the Tasman Glacier (lower left). About 10 kilometres (6 mi) of the river's length is visible here. Several scree fans descend from the surrounding mountains onto the Murchison valley floor.
