Morro Bay Kite Festival, 26 April 2014, Morro Bay, CA. Kites of all sizes are flown just north of Morro Rock in this annual event. In the morning the wind was a nil 7 mph, but it picked up in the afternoon to 15-20+ mph, making it impractical to walk on the beach without getting sand in one’s eyes and equipment.
