Taken during the tour and editathon at the Judges' Lodgings, Lancaster. The upper floor of the museum contains the Childhood collection.

The Lego company of the Kristiansen family launched the Lego brick, 8 stud binding brick in 1948. 'Leg godt'- play good, in 1953 they were branded as 'Lego mursten'. In 1959 British Lego Ltd is established. The wheel was launched in 1962, and in 1964 themed model sets. Duplo followed in 1969, Lego Technic in 1977.
