A broken breadboard that shows the distinction between two rows of holes. There are two separate continuous metal contacts underneath the two rows. The holes of row 1 are at same potential and holes of row 2 are at same potential but the potential of row 1 and row 2 are not same since the metals underneath are well separated by an insulator.
