1930s uniform of the Hitler Youth (Hitlerjugend, HJ), the youth organization of the Nazi Party (NSDAP) before and during World War II. Members' summer uniform consisted of black shorts and a tan shirt with pockets, worn with a rolled black neckerchief secured with a woggle, usually tucked under the collar:
  • Brown shirt with two pleated patch pockets on the chest, shoulder straps, and Hitlerjugend (HJ) insignia:
    • Cord (rank insignia lanyard, Führerschnur für Kameradschaftsführer)
    • Swastika armband (brassard) with HJ emblem; red–white–red striped with a black swastika in the middle, inside a white shaped diamond
    • HJ pin (Deutsches Jugendfest 1936)
  • Short black corduroy pants
  • Leather belt with shoulder strap and Hitler Youth belt buckle with the HJ eagle clutching the HJ diamond with a swastika in its talons in the center. The front reads Blut und Ehre ("Blood and Honour").
  • Neckerchief with woggle
  • HJ knife with the motto "Blood and Honour" (Blut und Ehre) engraved upon it
