Gunvá við Keldur was mayor of Klaksvík, Faroe Islands from 1 January 2009 to 31 December 2012. Klaksvík is the capital of the Northern Islands (Norðoyggjar), and the second largest town in the Faroe Islands. Gunvá is the daughter of former mayor of Klaksvík Jógvan við Keldu. Gunvá við Keldu was elected to the City Council of Klaksvík for the first time in 2003, she was a member of the Council and chairman of cultural affairs of the City Council of Klaksvík from 2004-2008.
