Forest or park above the village Vágur in Suðuroy, Faroe Islands. Trees don't grow wild in the Faroe Islands because of the many sheep. Parks with trees need to have fence all around in order to protect the trees from the sheep. The trees in this park have been planted since 1956. It was the town council of Vágur which decided back in 1956 that they would plant trees in this area, which covers 30.100 m² in the valley of Hvannadalur.
