Caroline Matilda of Great Britain (11. juli 1751 – 10. maj 1775), known to the Danish as Caroline Mathilde, was born in Great Britain to Frederick, Prince of Wales, and Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha. At the age of 15 years, she left Britain for Denmark, where she married her cousin Christian VII of Denmark on 8. november 1766 at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen. This broadsheet was printed to mark her arrival in Copenhagen and her marriage to the king.
