This image is a digitized photograph of Group Captain Sir Douglas Robert Steuart Bader. The image was taken from http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/online-exhibitions/douglas-bader/douglas-bader-hurricane-242-squadron.cfm and the caption reads: "Douglas Bader stands on the wing of his Hurricane, as Commanding Officer of No.242 Squadron.". Douglas Barden was posted to command No. 242 Squadron RAF as Squadron Leader on 28 June 1940; forced to bail out over German-occupied France, he was captured and spent the rest of the war as a prisoner of war. Therefore, he didn't do any more flight missions for RAF, and so the photograph is more than 50 years old, being now in the public domain.
