Hov is a village on the east coast of Suðuroy, Faroe Islands. The population is around 100. Once a year they arrange an event for families, where people can come and see some Faroese animals, i.e. horses, ducks, rabbits, fish and shell fish, lamb, chicken etc. The children can touch some of the animals. They event is normally in mid May, in Faroese it is called "Djóradagar í Hovi", which means something like Zoo Days in Hov. They have the event on a weekend, Saturday and Sunday. There are cages in the school yard and inside the school. There are also other activities especially for children like bouncy castles. Often there is also possibility for a speed boat trip on the fjord.
