Caton d'Utique lisant le Phédon avant de se donner la mort (Cato of Utica reading the Phaedo before committing suicide). Carrara marble, 1840. Commissioned in 1832, the work was unfinished at Roman's death. Rude carried it on and finished the sculpture in 1840.
