Captain Grenville's Column, Stowe Landscape Gardens. The column is a memorial to Captain Thomas Grenville, who died of his wounds at the Battle of Cape Finisterre on 3 May 1747. The memorial was raised by his uncle, Richard Temple, 1st Viscount Cobham.
