Born 1882-11-07, died in december 1945 in Königsberg (information given by Ostpreußisches Landesmuseum Lüneburg, owner of the photographic estate). After World War II his children moved to Zeven near Hannover. The well-known coffee-table book "Königsberg lebt weiter"[1] with his photographs from Königsberg 1939–1945 was published in his name postumously by his son in 1954.
