beskrivelse:
North Bar Within, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
The North Bar is the sole surviving bar, or gate, of the four that were built in the Middle Ages to control the main route entries into Beverley. The area of the town on this side of the bar is known as "within", the other side is known as "without", i.e. outside the gate. The present gate was rebuilt in 1409 from bricks that had been made locally in Beverley.
