beskrivelse:
This painting is attributed to naval officer and painter Bernhard Grodtschilling (Flåden gennem 475 år, facing page 64). It shows vessels from the Danish navy in the Great Northern War. To the left, the 76-gun ship of the line Prinz Frederik (Forsvargalleriet.dk identified her as the Prins Christian.), and at the center the 20-gun frigate Løvendals Galej. Based on the signals hoisted it has been suggested that the painting shows a scene from the beginning of the 1710 battle of Køge Bay, but that clashes with the fact that Løvendals Galej was launched in 1711. Dimensions 26,5 x 35,5 cm. Original painting is at Søofficers-Foreningen in Copenhagen.
