We estimate the age of the tree based on the diameter of the branch of an outbreak of 24 years is observed at the base of the tree to the right. Accordingly the tree is at least 303 years old, however it is possible that the error is large underestimation because it rings outbreaks are usually much wider than the trunk of an adult tree. The rings can easily be twice wider at the buds on the trunk so that the tree could be 500 years or more

Estimamos la edad del arbol en base al diametro de la rama de un brote de 24 años que se observa en la base del árbol hacia la derecha. De acuerdo a esto el árbol tiene a lo menos 303 años de edad, sin embargo es posible que el error por subestimación sea grande a causa de que los anillos de los brotes normalmente son mas anchos que los del tronco del un árbol adulto. Los anillos pueden ser fácilmente el doble mas anchos en los brotes que en el tronco, de forma tal que el árbol podria tener 500 años o mas.
