beskrivelse:
Portrait of Sir Thomas Parry. Black and coloured chalks, pen and Indian ink on pink-primed paper, 25.4 × 18.6 cm, Royal Collection, Windsor Castle.

The scholar Paul Ganz did not attribute this drawing to Holbein, but K. T. Parker, in his study of the Windsor drawings, did so hesitantly. He wrote: "The attribution is particularly difficult. Ganz's omission of the drawing may not be unjustified; but in spite of a rather soft and flabby dilineation, there is yet much of Holbein in it, and the way in which the hat badge is rendered in a separate sketch could not accord better with his common practice" (Parker, p. 57). Sir Thomas Parry, also Parrie or ap Harry (1515–60), worked for Thomas Cromwell in the 1530s, when Holbein probably drew this portrait study. He later became a household official of Princess Elizabeth, who made him a Privy Councillor on her accession in 1558. Reference
