Hurricane Ivan just west of Grenada in the Caribbean Sea on September 7, 2004 at 19:45 UTC (15:45 AST). At the time, Ivan had maximum sustained winds of 120 mi/h (195 km/h), placing it at Category 3 on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale. At the time, Ivan was located at about 11.9° N, 61.2° W. Photo as taken from a satellite with the GOES-12 1 km visible imagery.
