Fámara is a place in the Faroe Islands, located on the west coast of Suðuroy (the southernmost island) a few km north west of Vágur. There used to be small settlement there, but they moved away sometimes in the 1980'ies. In 2010 Fámara was re-settled. There is no harbour in Fámara, the place is around 100 meters above sea level and vertical cliffs on the coast. There are some even higher sea cliffs just north of the farm, more than 200 meters high.
